			<description>We found out that over the weekend, my DH's boss, Randy passed away, on Sunday.  Also a good friend, Bill, passed away, Saturday.



My DH, got to know his boss, and Randy was a quiet man, who kept to himself.  He had cancer in his mouth and apparently some broken ribs, that never healed and caused the infection that finally, took him.

6 slices bacon, diced

3/4 cup chopped onion

1/2/ cup chopped green bell pepper

2 teaspoons flour

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/8 teaspoon dry mustard

16 oz can whoe peeled tomatoes

2- 16 oz cans cut green beans drained

			<description>This is one of my favorite soups to serve my family after Christmas, and use up the left over ham.



Split Pea Soup



Left over ham deboned and cut or pulled into chuncks. (About a puond or so)



1 bag of dry split peas (I use 2 bags and more ham!)



1 lb of baby carrots



3 or 4 good sized potatoed cut into chuncks (you can leave the skin on or off)



1 medium sixed onion cut into chunks (or smaller if your family doesn't liketo see onion on their soup!)

So far the book has held my attention and easy to read and understand.  I have taken a few notes on things I can do that will help me reverse some of aging.  The book covers subjects like your heart, lungs, brain, liver and diseases like diabeties, cancer and Alzhimer's.  It also has some informative illustrations, simple tests and YOU Factoids.
